Margarita Valderrama is a Colombian-Canadian actor and writer. She was born in Buenos Aires, raised in Bogotá and Mexico City, and has called Toronto home for over a decade. Most notably she’s the voice of Lia Venegas on Bakugan: Battle Planet and loves every minute of it! Other TV credits include: Paw Patrol and the upcoming Mrs. America (FX). Her roots are in theatre and she’s had had the pleasure of working with various Toronto based theatre companies on new play development, and she’s grateful to have been nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for my work in Meet Cute (Roseneath Theatre).

Theatre credits include: rochdale (SummerWorks), fearless (fu-gen theatre) and TOUGH! (Canadian REP Theatre). Her first short film script Date Night won the ACTRA Toronto Shorts Competition this summer and premiered at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival in November. Date Night has also received Official Selection from the Canada Shorts Film Festival and their Award of Commendation.
