Pufferdoodles grew up with a love of reading, and this included both manga as well as traditional comic books. She loved watching anime from a young age as well and stepped into the cosplay community when she was 13 years old.
Her father was her Handler from day one, carrying her bags and standing back to keep a close eye on her with a name badge that read “Overprotective Father”. She first appeared as Misa from DeathNote, then quickly caught the cosplay bug and began crafting more costumes. She’s been Rikku from Final Fantasy, Boa Hancock from One Piece, Jinx from League of Legends.
Her passion for cosplay evolved into a love of prop making. She’s particularly delighted with her version of Jinx’s Fishbones. Puff is always looking at everyday objects with an eye to how she might transform it into cosplay.
Cosplay highlights for Pufferdoodles include being recognized by: Arda Wigs, Jinx’s creator, and League of Legends, as well as being a featured guest and masquerade judge at many conventions, including Barrie Comicon, Orillia Comicon, and Pretty Heroes. She’s enjoyed modelling for brands like Pink City, Triple Fortune, Hendrix Roe, Narces, and Racoon Guts.
She attended art school for a year to study sequential arts and continues to attend many conventions in the GTA, both as a cosplayer and an artist.
